Internships

Internships with the Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce offer hands-on experience working in a bilingual environment in fields as diverse as translation, special events, lobbying, public relations, research, and business.

At the VAHCC Richmond headquarters, we have conducted internships with students from the University of Richmond, Virginia Commonwealth University, Dominion University, and Randolph-Macon. Opportunities to intern in Northern Virginia are currently in development.

All majors are encouraged to apply for internships with the VAHCC. Contact David Watson for more information.

A note on internships: If you are seeking academic credit with this internship, please be sure to first contact your academic advisor and/or internship coordinator in your school department. If an internship program is not already set up with the VAHCC at your university, you may be asked by your school to write an internship proposal in order to receive academic credit. If you are a Bonner scholar, please contact Rita Willis at (804) 378-4099 or rita.willis@vahcc.com.
