Ms. Sanchez del Solar continues to develop her skills by attending trainings and management courses such as the Virginia Commonwealth University 2009 International Business Certificate Program.
While living in Peru, Ms. Sanchez del Solar worked for over six years as the International and Foreign Affairs Assistant Manager for Sudamericano Bank (Scotiabank). She was later promoted to Administration and Human Resources Manager within the same company. Previously, she worked for over seven years as the Administration Manager for the Carnation Company.
Before moving to the United States, Ms. Sanchez del Solar ran her own international trading company Insirsa for five years; where she supplied goods and services to government, corporate and private agencies.
Since the year 2000, Ms. Sanchez del Solar has held the position of Foundation Director for the Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, where she has developed and implemented business and community programs in support of the VAHCC Foundation’s mission and objectives.
Her most recent achievement includes the 2008 Richmond Bar Association’s Liberty Bell Award. Ms. Sanchez del Solar became the first Latina recipient of this award which is presented every five years. She was recognized for her work related to naturalization and citizenship process and the pursuit of rights and remedies through the legal system.
