(Washington DC, USA) The World Wildlife Fund led a social media campaign across the United States and Latin America urging all to turn off their lights at 8:30PM last Saturday for "Earth Hour". This movement was designed to make strides in worldwide energy conservation and raise awareness in this effort. In the United States, all 50 states participated. Entire cities committed to the effort across Latin America in Asunción, Paraguay and Rio de Janiero, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, and beyond.
