El Pollo Rico
El Pollo Rico is celebrating 35 years of serving the best pollo-a-la-brasa in the DMV. The restaurant traces its beginnings to a strip mall in the 1980s on Wilson Blvd in Arlington, where Victor and Nelida Solano hoped to open a Peruvian rotisserie chicken restaurant. Opened in 1988, the chain’s standalone Arlington restaurant on N. Kenmore Street was featured on the late Anthony Bourdain’s “No Reservations” travel show. Now El pollo rico continues to please customers with three locations throughout Northern Virginia.

How can restaurants participate?
- Featured Restaurants: These restaurants will offer a special for the week and will be highlighted at the top of the Restaurante Week webpage. Each box will include the restaurant's name, photo of choice, location, contact information, website/menu link, and the featured special for the week. Specials must be available each day during the week, although can be during made available during certain times (ex. lunch only or dinner only specials)
*Special Examples:
1) A free dessert with the purchase of two entrees
2) 50% off all appetizers happy hour (3pm-6pm)
3) Buy two baked goods get the third for free
- Listed Restaurants: These restaurants will be listed under the featured restaurants on the Restaurante Week webpage. Each listing will include the restaurant's name, location, and website/menu link
